Sotheby's contemporary art auction last night was a little slow. That said, there was lots of competition for works that sold high including Mark Rothko, Jasper Johns, Gerhard Richter & Cy Twombly and Jeff Koons.
Christies contemporary night should garner more excitement with some major Andy Warhol's works: Elvis Presley and Marlon Brando. I will report on the results tomorrow!
