The new World Trade Center Transportation Hub (the Oculus) is now open! Designed by architect Santiago Calatrava, the station has connections to 11 New York City subway lines and PATH trains to Jersey City, Hoboken, and Newark. Eventually the hub will house up to 125 retail tenants, such as Apple, H&M, and Michael Kors.

You can already connect underground from the PATH trains to Brookfield Place. In case you haven't been, the food court alone is worth a visit. This is not your average mall... Blue Ribbon Sushi, Dos Toros Taqueria, Sprinkles, Tartinery, and Umami Burger are just a few of the offerings alongside retailers such as BonobosJ. Crew, Bottega Veneta, Vince, Hermès, Scoop, Gucci, Paul Smith, Tory Burch, and DVFThere is even an Equinox gym and a DryBar!

All in all, it makes for a very nice (and fast) daily commute for residents ofJersey City and Hoboken into New York City each day.
