September 2026 Snapshot
Weehawken Housing Market Statistics: September 2026
September was another thin, top-heavy month in Weehawken, where a handful of sales can move the numbers sharply. Eight homes closed, half of them condos at Port Imperial and Henley Place, and the median sold price climbed to a quarter high of $1,276,500. Homes that did sell moved quickly, in a median of about 18 days, but fewer closed at or above asking than in August, and a growing pool of listings gave buyers more leverage.
The takeaway: September’s median sold price of $1,276,500 set a new quarter high, but the story behind it is the mix, not a surge in values. Homes moved quickly when they sold, yet just 38% closed at or above asking and the average sale came in a touch under list, both signs that buyers had more room to negotiate than earlier in the summer.
Median price per square foot isn’t included this month. Only four of September’s closings had reliable square footage data, too small a sample to report with confidence.

The Trend
Weehawken Home Price Trends (July to September 2026)
Weehawken’s small monthly sale counts make its medians swing more than larger markets do, and the quarter shows it: the median climbed from $830,000 in July to $1,125,000 in August and $1,276,500 in September, tracking a mix that tilted steadily toward higher-end homes rather than a uniform rise in prices. Days on market tell their own story, dropping back to about 18 after August’s higher-end listings pushed the median to 46. National mortgage rates hovering in the mid-6% range remained part of the backdrop.
Only 8 homes closed, half of them higher-end condos, so the $1,276,500 median reflects the mix that sold as much as any broad move in values. Supply rose to about 6.9 months, the most room buyers have had this quarter.
By Property Type
Condos Drive Volume, Larger Homes Set the Ceiling
Half of September’s eight closings were condos at Port Imperial and Henley Place, while the houses set the top of the market.
The Mix Effect
What Types of Homes Sold in Weehawken This Month?
Condominiums were again Weehawken’s most active segment, accounting for 4 of September’s 8 closings at a median of $1,234,000, a reminder that even the city’s condos sit well into seven figures. The month’s premium belonged to its houses. Two three-family homes closed at $1,225,000 and $1,500,000, and the two single-family sales landed at $1,200,000 and $2,212,500, the latter a home on Boulevard East that was the largest sale of the month. It remains a market where condos drive the volume while multi-family and single-family homes set the ceiling.
Active Inventory
Homes for Sale in Weehawken Right Now
As of the end of September, 55 homes were active on the market in Weehawken, with a median list price of $1,099,000. At the current pace of sales, that’s roughly 6.9 months of supply, a step toward buyers from August’s more balanced 4.4 months, driven by a lighter month of closings against a growing pool of listings. Buyers have meaningful selection and negotiating room, more than Hoboken’s tighter market offers.
Active inventory leans toward smaller homes, with 17 two-bedroom and 14 one-bedroom listings leading the way, alongside 5 three-family properties for investors and larger households, reflecting Weehawken’s continued appeal to owner-occupants and investors alike.
